Lifelong Learning

Curious minds don't retire — they just finally get time to read the footnotes.

Each semester, The Center offers a rich lineup of courses in history, literature, the arts, current events, science, music, and more — led by knowledgeable instructors who love what they teach. Whether you’re a longtime learner or exploring something new, there’s a course waiting for you.

Online registration opens on September 8. Walk-in registration will take place at The Center on September 8 & 9 from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. 

The fall 2026 semester courses begin on September 21.

In-person registration is offered at The Center on September 8 and 9 from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM.

Payment

The cost for each course is $30. Scholarships are available. New this year: Payment is due at the time of registration. Choose "Pay Now" during online checkout.

How to register online

  1. 1 Go to the Lifelong Learning program (this page) or go directly to the Schedules Plus calendar.
  2. 2 Click the course you'd like to join, then click Register.
  3. 3 Enter your phone number to look up your account.
  4. 4 Select your name and confirm the program.
  5. 5 Click Register again to add to your cart. (You can continue to add classes to your cart by browsing topic using the navigation bars on the left.)
  6. 6 Click Pay Now and complete payment to confirm your spot.

Payment must be received upon registration.

This semester we offer 15 classes including one virtual class. The calendar below includes only the first session of each class with a link to register. The classes are numbered based on the order on the flyer that was distributed. Click on a course below for details and a direct link to sign up via Schedules Plus.

Joining Virtual Classes (Zoom)

In-person and virtual options — choose what works best for you.

  • Virtual classes are offered live on Zoom so you can participate from home.
  • You must register and pay in advance to access your Zoom link in the Virtual Center.
  • Log on to the Virtual Center through our website on the day of class to join.
  • If you're new to virtual classes, our staff can help you navigate to the Virtual Center ahead of time. Call (781) 934-5774 ext. 5703.

How to participate on the day

On the day and time of the scheduled program, go to the Virtual Center on Schedules Plus and click the Join link. All live programs are held via Zoom. If you do not have access to a computer or smart device, you can listen using the audio options provided.
